Chemical Grades

ChemPure Brand Chemicals®, Inc., offers many different grades of chemicals, All of them meet or exceed the following Specifications:

Grade Description
ACS Meets or exceeds the specification as listed in Reagent Chemicals published by the American Chemical Society.
HPLC High Purity solvent suitable for HPLC, spectrophotometry or analytical use.
Reagent High purity generally equal to A.C.S. grade and suitable for use in many laboratory and analytical applications.
GC High purity solvent for gas chromatography.
U.S.P. HA chemical grade of a sufficient purity to meet or exceed requirements of the U.S. Pharmacopeia (USP); acceptable for food, drug or medical use; may be used for most laboratory purposes.
N.F. Meets or exceeds requirements of the National Formulary (NF).
Histological Suitable for use in histology laboratories.
ChemPure ACS+ Consistency exceeding ACS+ High quality Purity standards per the American Chemical Society.
ChemPure Trace Metal Acids manufactured to achieve very low metal contamination in ppb range. Primarily used in digestion of samples prior to ICP analysis. Each lot is analyzed for 32 metals by ICP/MS.

GHS Hazard Symbols

The GHS is an acronym for The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals.

The GHS is a system for standardizing and harmonizing the classification and labeling of chemicals. It is a logical and comprehensive approach to:

  • Defining health, physical and environmental hazards of chemicals.
  • Creating classification processes that use available data on chemicals for comparison with the defined hazard criteria.
  • Communicating hazard information, as well as protec tive measures, on labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
